At Gordon Parenting, we’re committed to making Parent Effectiveness Training accessible to all parents.
P.E.T. 8-part Workshop
The P.E.T. course is a 24-hour program made up of eight parts each spanning three hours. We offer different formats to accommodate different schedules. The highly interactive workshop allows you to draw on your own life experiences, circumstances, problems, and perspectives. Activities include role-play, group discussion, group sharing, reflection, as well as instructor presentations. Group size varies, but are typically between 6 to 12 participants to allow for impactful learning and interaction.
Online P.E.T. Book Club
In this online reading group, we learn and discuss chapters of “Parent Effectiveness Training” authored by Dr Thomas Gordon. There are six 90-minute sessions led by a Certified Online P.E.T. instructor. It is not required that you read the entire book before the club starts; chapters are assigned before each session. This is not an online P.E.T. class, but a valuable deep-dive into P.E.T. methods and philosophy.
The fee is HKD$1,500 excluding the cost of the book.
P.E.T. Instructor Training Workshop
Some people aspire to become P.E.T. instructors having completed the P.E.T. workshop and experienced the positive impact on their relationships. The P.E.T. Instructor Training Workshop (ITW) incorporates 6 days of intensive training, small group teaching practices, role-play, and sharing. To become a certified P.E.T. instructor, candidates are required to pass a rigorous assessment.
Due to the pandemic, P.E.T. ITW is currently on hold. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for updates.
