You are invited to a learning session on Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.).
Whether you’ re the parent of a toddler or a teenager, you know that parenting can be challenging– even overwhelming at times. Unfortunately, children don’t come with an instruction manual. And, being a parent doesn’t always mean that you automatically or instinctively know what to do.
Get exceptional guidance in this session with Odette Umali and Steve Emmons, Instructor and Master Trainer, respectively, of Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.).
New York Metro and Virtual Parents and Caregivers Network (PCN) in partnership with LEAD for Women Virtual chapter would like to provide our colleagues the opportunity to learn about Parent Effectiveness Training Program (P.E.T.) which was developed by award-winning psychologist & three-time Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Dr. Thomas Gordon in 1962. The Gordon Model is a set of concepts and skills that can help establish democratic and collaborative relationships.
This program has helped millions of parents around the world. Learning effective communication and conflict resolution skills can lead to dramatic improvements in the family and in all kinds of relationships. There will be fewer power struggles – less tension and resentment and more fun, peace and love.
